I am happy to know that 5th World Ayurveda Congress is being organized at Bhopal from 7 to 10 December 2012. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is extremely happy to join hands with the World Ayurveda Foundation in organising this mega event. I understand that this year the deliberations at the conference will focus on the issue of ‘Public Health’. Ensuring the well-being of people, especially the poorer section, has always been a challenge to people like us. While we face this challenge through the modern medical perspective to a large extent, I am aware that our own traditional system of medicine, Ayurveda, can offer viable and affordable solutions to the health problems that people face today.
To the extent, the Government of Madhya Pradesh eagerly looks forward to the policy suggestions that the 5th World Ayurveda Conference will present us with. We wholeheartedly welcome this initiative and wish the event all success.
