It is with great pride and pleasure that I look forward to the 7th World Ayurveda Congress & AROGYA Expo 2016 being held at the Science Centre, Kolkata. I trust this will turn out to be one of the most significant events in the realm of Indian medicine, poised to make waves at a global level.
I congratulate the World Ayurveda Foundation and the Ministry of AYUSH for organising the event on a grand scale. Over the years we have seen the World Ayurveda Congress emerge as a powerful platform for Ayurveda. Scholars, students, policy makers and practitioners are known to congregate at the Congress for an update on evolving trends in the practice of Indian medicine.
Students, industry representatives and Ayurveda practitioners benefit from theinteractive sessions, skill development workshops and symposia organised at the Congress. The Plenary sessions dwell upon the efficacy of traditional life science and discuss the scope of integrating Ayurveda into the realm of mainstream medical practice. Senior faculty and distinguished ‘Gurus’ of Ayurveda impact young minds, encouraging them to explore and experience the vital benefits of Ayurvedic medicine for a safer and healthier future. The World Ayurveda Congress aims to nurture Ayurveda as a Way of Life andthe AROGYA Expo elucidates the viability of Ayurveda and natural medicine as a robust and thriving source of alternate medicine. I wish the upcoming Congress the very best, and invite Ayurveda stakeholders from India and abroad, to take advantage of this mega event. Welcome, all!
